A Volvo 60 racer of the latest generation.
Designed by Bruce Farr and in 2001built by Green Marine in England as one of two yachts. The identical sistership took part in the Volvo Ocean Race 2001 - 2002, won many legs of the race and finished second!
The two yachts take a special place in the world of "big boat" racing,
because they are uniquely constructed in their own negative form.
On top of that many innovations in as many sectors have been realized in this boat as well as other details optimized and thus the yacht has become a forerunner for bluewater racers.

On two Volvo Ocean racers teams of up to 18 sailors per boat are competing against each other.
One race takes on average one hour and up to three races per day are possible.
With three races up to 108 participants in one day can experience the
exceptional adventure to be crew of a „Formula One” Regatta Racer.
The expense per boat are about 4000Euro.
